I am originally from Michigan, but have lived in Colorado for about 17 years. Dang, that’s a long time! Hanging out with me are my boy/girl twins and my super smart and always goofy husband, Rob. Rob and I met on Eharmony (it does work!) and have been married for 8 years.
Yoga and Pilates are My JAM
I am a Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and a PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher and am blessed to teach yoga and co-own an empowering studio in Colorado Springs – UpRise Yoga Studio. We believe that you are the author of your story and our mission is to help you write your truth by creating a space for creativity and a practice you LOVE. I love to teach many different types of classes: Hot Power Flow (Inspired by Baptiste Yoga), Warm Deep Stretch, Aerial Yoga, Yoga HIIT, and SUP Yoga. Making Yoga and Pilates accessible to all bodies is one of my biggest passions.
Bringing Wellness to Myself and Others
I enjoy working with others to empower them and help them on their own wellness journeys. Besides Yoga and Pilates, this also includes nutrition and essential oils. I am a Certified Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach and also a Whole30 Certified Coach. I work one-on-one with individuals (in-person in Colorado or online anywhere in the country) and I also lead small groups with those who need help with their nutrition and lifestyle choices. Resetting habits and behaviors around food, finding what foods help fuel people the best, and how to meal plan/prep in today’s crazy, busy world are some of the areas I assist within my coaching. I am an Independent Wellness Advocate with doTerra Essential Oils and love to educate others on how to use essential oils in their households. My passion is to share with others and help them find their best selves, too, through all of these avenues.
Roller Coaster of a Life at Times
I have had an interesting journey in my life including having gastric bypass surgery 17 years ago, having twins born at 30 weeks and 3 days and then a NICU stay, working in corporate America and deciding to branch out on my own with multiple businesses, and finding a program that worked for me (Whole30) to help me find a healthy balance and relationship with food for the first time in my life.
Through movement and proper nutrition, we can transform our lives and find our most true selves. I love empowering others to help them reach their goals and their fullest potential.
